Some of the best teachers aren't on a mat — they're rooted in the ground beneath your feet. Join Holly for a hike up Bear Creek Trail that winds through some of Telluride's most lush and diverse terrain, all the way to the hidden gem locals know as Little Hawaii. Along the way, Holly will introduce you to the native plants and wildflowers that thrive in this high alpine ecosystem, weaving in the wisdom of the natural world as we move and breathe together. A beautiful reminder that longevity, curiosity, and a deep relationship with the living world around us are some of the oldest medicines there are. Route: Loop via Bear Creek Trail to Little Hawaii Difficulty: Moderate to Strenuous Distance: Approximately 4–5 miles Elevation Gain: 1,200+ feet Time: Approximately 2.5–3 hours — note that this hike starts and ends in Telluride, requiring a 15-minute gondola ride back to Mountain Village. What to Bring: Layers, sunscreen, good hiking shoes, water, snacks, and hiking poles if you like them. No mat needed.
⚠️ Heads up: Hiking at 9,000 feet requires a base level of cardiovascular fitness. Hydrate well before and during, and choose what's right for your body. Your safety and enjoyment are the priority.
