Ashley Boling is a long-time Telluride local with an innate enthusiasm for history and a natural gift for storytelling. He has lived in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado since 1990 and is deeply woven into the fabric of the community — working with nonprofits, serving as a DJ at local radio station KOTO, and engaging with Telluride's many festivals. His tours are beloved by tourists and lifelong locals alike, who consistently discover something new about the place they call home — with historical events brought to life through re-enactment rather than just summary. Known for his cowboy attire, quick humor, and encyclopedic knowledge of the region, Ashley has been leading historic walking tours through the Telluride Historical Museum since 1991 — making him one of the town's most treasured storytellers.
